I'm looking for an online reservation system that runs in either PHP or Perl. It's going to be used with a cinema so that people can get online and book and pay for tickets.

I did find a script for that, but the author of it hasn't finished it and it doesn't incorporate the ability to submit credit card details.

Can anyone help? If there isn't one already made that can do this then I'll need one developed.

Im sure what u mean? you want a script that reserves books? hmm ill have to check around.

booking, as in reservation. It's going to be used with a movie cinema's website so that visitors can book tickets to movies and pay via submitting credit card details.

couldnt they just use a form that has SSL?

the visitor would need to see session times and seat availability. They would also need to select the seat they want from the ones available and search session times.

a form won't provide enough options.

Unfortunately i haven't been able to find anything to suit. I have had a few programmers contact me about custom making one but not a single one of them have returned an email with pricing. I guess no one is game enough to take it this project on?

How did you go with finding a script? I'm also after a similar script for a Cinema but do not require the ability to pay online.

If someone was to build such a system would you need each seat bookable or would it be you have x number of seats and when one is booked it just knocks one of the total quantity. That question is not too clear so I'll try again..
Would someone be able to book particular seats (say E4 and E5) or just a seat?

Try digital druid. Theres a guest booking script than can easily be modded for your needs and whats more its FREE and its in english. Easily modded for a payment gateway too. Its the only free one on the net.

I really cant believe the amount of post views in this thread since I posted that info. You people will never learn if you want everything given. I very much doubt any of you have the capabillities to mod it to suit your needs. I now expect to see post for reservation script mod required.

We have an Hotel Reservation System that ias fully skinable and it does all this (http://www.bug-hotel.org). You just have todo a search and replace and replace the keyword hotel with cinema or something else but it will the job just fine.
