This is most definitely a DNS propagation error. Check tomorrow!

Everything works fine here!
But i could not find the forum button until i saw you called it:
Talk about it-
Maybe rename it to forum ;) i just through it was some kind of 'rate/discuss the script' until i realy pressed the button.
Maybe in the Submenu
"Add a Listing | Update a Listing | Getting Rated | Send Feedback | Log-in | About Us "
Add a field called 'Discussion Forum'
Keep up the good work!

I love you, NIX-servers :D hehe - I'm a unix-serveradministrator myself!
But maybe you schold consider reconfigurating your httpd.conf
http://www.hotscripts.com///manual/
Server : Apache/1.3.27 Ben-SSL/1.48 (Unix) PHP/4.3.2
WTF* is Ben-SSL ;) never used that before, i think i'll start to download and compile Ben :D and check it out.
keep up the good work!

I've always liked this site. And I like the fact that you've opened the forums.
However, I think there is too much red now (I know you're trying to emphasize hot, but it overpowers the content). From a usability standpoint, the text on the descriptions could be larger - and the background a lighter shade of gray.
That's my two cents. Thanks for listening.

I disagree with MDE
I like the new look, and the HOT RED look and the grey tones!
keep up the good work!
I love the new site! The reds are very cool. Maybe you should get an irc channel? So I can idle and answer really stupid questions.

Which is the difference between members of Hotscripts and Members of Forums (vBulletin)?
It would be interesting if it can unite the users of members HotScripts to the members with the vBulletin base, maybe this can be of a lot of help in the future. Because surely many of those that list their scripts will also be in in forum.

Looks much nicer, and the forums are a nice addition, but maybe keep the header consistant between the rest of the site & the forums.

Just a small suggestion:
In the script listing pages, there are no page navigation bars at the bottom. You might want to add that so people don't have to scroll up for it all the time.
Thanks,

I think the design is fanstastic! But The organization could use some work, or getting used to. All in all it's a vast improvment on the best script source!

An irc channel would be cool as well..but the forums are enough for the momment! :)

I agree with this, and was just about to post about it. The rest of the site is wicked! How long did it take... i don't remember you telling us there was going to be a new design...?

Red is not very eye friendly on computer monitors. When it is over used it causes people to reduce the amount of time they will spend on a site.
I have been using hotscripts for a long time and I know about the quality scripts here, but a new visitor may be turned away due to eye strain.
Really, it feels like it is burning my retinas.

I agree with this and the other post about the red. The new look is slicker and prettier than the old one but I think it's overly red.
Also because visited links are the same colour as normal links it is impossible to tell which scripts I've already checked out (since I don't remember all the names).
Looks are all very well but usability is more important.
And finally, the site still lacks the ability to sort scripts by any criteria (popularity, rating, name, age etc.). But I believe you're workig on this...

Awesome re-build but all the red is making my little brain dizzy.
A little more blue here and there and HotScripts.com will be A-o.k. in my book!

You should get out more instead of just cruising the hangouts in your teen universe. There's a reason why businesses that care about making money from a broad spectrum of users don't trip out their sites in a self-indulgent manner.
This is first and foremost an informational site. Ideally, the information should be as easy to find as possible. Check out the "new" listings page though and you'll see the only thing that jumps off the page is a sea of red.

but then I could have used the quick reply
*hits self on head*
HS Staff - is the textarea input for starting a new thread ment to be so thin? I'm using Mozilla Firebird it is very thin compared to the other input fields... Just thought I'd point that out.

hi,
i will be as constructively as possible.
first of all, i dont like the new website overall. the new interface has cool graphics etc it may be ok. but hotscripts.com seems to lose its core strength of being functional and useful. i'm very frequent user of hotscripts for almost from the first days of hotscripts (i i came across with hotscripts.com from gossamer threads web site). i'm checking every day some days twice a day and when i search for a script.
it had a clean interface and needed small refinements, such as new search back-end.
1. new listings is really _terrible_ and _useless_. there is no logic of sorting of listings. old site has a standard listing first asp, javascipt,java,c/c++,php,perl,remote etc. and by its function as cms, e-commerce, mail-list etc. you have to be a adventure-lover to sort out which scripts are where.
2. the main color, red-like, is eye-tiring.
i hope hotscripts.com maintainers take my criticisms as constructive from the eyes of very long time and regular veteran of _real_ hotscripts.com. it made finding web scripts quick and easy. it offers real content not bloat of pages of new script content. there lots of script listing site out there with terrible and useless interface. at least give option of selecting old site interface (mainly one sorted page for new listings) and layout and color schemes.

Hehe, this site is hot [ both ways ] gj in creating it, and finally you guys have made the modifications safer! The old site, you can edit anyones link, it was...yes well, now all is good, i only wish my script would get up here lol, but GREAT SITE!
Yes, that theme has followed through from a simple logo to a whole new forum template and html template.
Hi everyone,
Let's keep in mind that everyone is entitled to their opinions and is free to express them here and we want your feedback. If insults start to be thrown then others will feel as if they cannot post their feedback without getting "flamed" for it. ;)
We do appreciate everyone's feedback but please also realize that over the coming days and weeks the HotScripts Team is still going to be fine-tuning things and working bugs out. That's one benefit of having such great members, their feedback! We do value what you tell us and we do listen to it and we will do our best to make things work as best as possible. Please just remember that it may take time to accomplish all of the tasks. :)

Ah, of course we do Ryan, and its great to have a nice admin around here :)
I say it looks incredibly nice! I hope it keeps that way! :)
Its really cool! I like it a lot better then the old one, the graphics are cool, the design is cool, I think it has the same functionality as the old one so I know how to get around easily.
So to sum it up, super job, wouldnt change a thing :)

what? old design was better?
Why is that?
First off... don't get me wrong I like change, and I do like some of the things you have done here at HS, but I do agree with some of the folks here in consideration to the red. There is *way* too much. It's extremely hard on the eyes.
Pro's
Great Graphics.. the logo/icons/folders etc.. are really nicely done, and they give HS a slick new look.
By the way.. The main pepper is great!Con's
Too much red.. it's overloaded.
http://www.hotscripts.com/New/ is so hard to look at now, perhaps larger: font sizes or table height/cellpadding, and again too much red.
I'm working on an 800x600 resolution and I honestly think the margin: /width's need to be adjusted.. maybe to 5, or the tables' cellpaddings' adjusted, but that's just preference I guess.. :)
http://www.hotscripts.com/cgi-bin/getrated.cgi gives an internal server error, but you're probably working on this right now.
http://www.hotscripts.com/link_to_us.cgi Great banners.. but what happened to all the user submitted banners/buttons? I realize you have changed over... but seeing those banners made by the adoration of Hotscripts fans, really gave this site an extra boost in the type of community HS has. It's a shame to see them gone. FYI: I didn't make one for HS... I'm just sad to see them go.
I guess I had a couple more cons then I expected. Overall.. I think you guys are doing a fantastic job. I'm not going to lie and say I'm not going to miss the old hotscripts look.. which I do... but I do appreciate change as well. I think the biggest thing for "me" is the overwhelming red :( I find the same for the forum too, and hope soon you'll have another template to choose from in VB.
Anyway.. great work! All the best with your new visions of HS!
Let me re-state that we greatly appreciate your feedback and we would like it to keep coming. However, since the site is brand new we would like to give everyone a chance to view it before making further changes (large ones). Might I also say that it does take time for these changes to be made as the HotScripts Staff is very busy working on other things for HotScripts as well as their other duties. Please give us time to make adjustments but do keep the feedback coming! :)

Much better than the other one. I think the problem with the old one was it had been around for too long.
A little tip though. Those poll bars need changing. If you need any doing then let me know.

I also think it looks very nice. Buy was I surprised when I visited to see the new design.
One thing I would love to see added it the ability to sort the scripts by Rating, Most Reviews, etc.
