can someone recommend a good book for J2ME, i want to create programs for mobile devices to interact with online DB's, websites and other stuff like that, i;ve neverr used Java before

I haven't programmed in J2ME but i've programmed in J2SE...
I would assume it is basically the same.
Checkout sun's site, they have tutorials, online classes, code samples... everything.

just cause it's free doesn't mean it's crap :D it is actually very good.
