Hi guys, and hello Joel, it's about time I find you on the net trying to scam more people into buying this "software"

I know no one knows me so I carry very little weight here if any at all, but rest assured the moderators can see my IP and know I have never posted here before.

A little history is in order I guess so here is an unbiased version of Joel and his business dealings.

My dealings with Joel started almost 4 months ago, I emailed him about buying his software, and he was very responsive at first, and emailed me back promptly.

I was very hip to his auction script, it has a TON of features and looks like a very solid script, and he seemed like a very presentable proffesional seller in his script, so I immediatley sent the money via paypal, like sooo many other people have done.

I did have to wait 3 days for the script to arrive though, which I can handle and understand, people have a life and well, I know you can't be online 24/7 to send out scripts. There was no worry there whatsoever.

I recieved the script and with a excitement i clicked it to open it with Winzip ...

...

WinZip has encountered an error, the file is either corrupt or an invalid Winzip file.

Try again....

And again...

and again...

At this point, I figure well okay, somethings wrong with my winzip, I remove winzip from my computer and reinstal it and try again.

And again...

At that point, I knew maybe that Joel had maybe made some kind of mistake when zipping the script so I figured I'd just email him using the same email address I had used to buy the program.

I waited...

1 day...
2 days...
3 days....

17 days later I recieved a reply... Like, geezus it took that long to take care of a customer right?

Here was his reply email (Look at the date just so you can see how long ago this was)

Hi Marcus,

I do not provide any support via email anymore. You will have to log into the new customer service area to recieve help from now on.

__________________________________________________ ___________

And that was it.
I went to the site, looked for a customer log in area, couldn't find one though but about 3 weeks later I went back just to remind myself how pissed I was about internet scams like this one.

I noticed the customer log in center and well, had no idea what my username or password was, I was never given one. I sent out another email, waiting to see what my response would be. Nothing came, I did a whois on the website and tried to call, the number was disconnected.

I tried to do a chargeback in Paypal, I used the reason that "Items not recieved"

I am waiting to hear back from their chargeback center, Im told its different then Paypal and comes directly from Mastercard.

A little funny thing I did run accross trying to find Joel is that no one anywhere is using his script succesfully out of all the bulletin board postings I've found, and moreover then not, any postings I usually find about him are either, the Winzip was corrupt, the script was never sent, the script doesnt work, or the script works but uses "call home" features and after a few days of the script working, it "mysteriously" dies...

Just my 2 cents, and heck, I'll leave my email address for anyone who wants to contact me about this.

sstodghill@carolina.rr.com

Joel if your reading this, do the right thing, take care of your customers, word of mouth CAN shut your sales down to nothing. You might think your "immune" on the internet, and that there are too many people on the interenet for anyone to affect you, but seriously, anyone who is going to lay out $299 on a script is going to be looking in search engines for things about you.

I'd love if you sent me a real working copy of the script I paid for, but if not, then Im sure you must be starving and need the money more then I.

A true business man does whatever it takes to keep his customers happy, I read your responses here to the other poster, and a real businessman would have only made one post.

" Hey man it's Joel, Im sorry let me take care of it right now for you"

Although many of your claims can be easily proven false, I will not get into an argument with you. Please contact me directly at joel@bidflux.com and we will try and work things out.

It appears we are having quite a bit more problems with integrating all past clients into our new help desk than I first perceived, and I would love to get all of this worked out.
