I want to install a FreeBSD server for learning purposes. A local server.
I want to know which is a better solution:

Apache 1.3.x with Php 4.x and mySQL 4.x

or

Apache 2.0 with Php 5 and myQSL 5

What configuration you have ? and work good?

it seems host hosting companies are using the first solution you listed. i would personaly play with the second one because i always want the latest and greatest.

Like koncept says, the first one, most hosts are using, so it's best to have the same version.
