What are the most wanted projects in PHP/MYSQL?
Things like PHP-NUKE?
Image stuff?
Live Chats?
what?
most probably a control panel for win2k... you know dns settings etc etc..
what i mean is something to control php settings, mysql settings and databases etc, dns settings using a specific dns server, email accounts using a specific e-mail server, ftp accounts using a specific ftp server etc etc would be cool to have that done in php.

You mean things like cPanel and Plesk? I believe those are usually best coded in CGI...
well yeah like cpanel and plesk but 1) opensource, 2) cgi doesn't work very well with windows...php works perfectly.
best solution is to make a package with apache, php, mysql, perl,a dns server, imail server, ftp server, telnet server and make a web based control panel to manage them all from there !

I would also leave livechats as a JAVA based system so it doesnt waste as much bandwidth.
A good content management system would be awesome as well, and maybe image/photo gallery systems.
It depends on how good you make it.. THe better and more unique as well as feature packed you make it the more users will use it. (It also needs to have a good looking and fresh UI).

You can use Visual Basic apps as a CGI and PHP as a CGI as well, although ISAPI is much better. I have seen a CP written in VB (CGI form, not a downloadable program) and C++ for Windows. I have also seen a control panel for Windows written for PHP.
Remember, CGI is not a programming language :D :p
control panel for windows with php ? where's that ? i've searched the whole internet for something like that !
It was a closed source company application. Sorry for getting you excited.
damn ! oh well... i give up i'll simply install pc anywhere and use that ! listen to make a fully complete server would i need to install a name server as well ? any good one for win2k ?

anything for windows would prorbably be best coded in something made by Microsoft, meaning asp or asp.net. Windows Server 2003, has a nice little web based control panel if you can afford to cough up the money.
i had a had time understanding your last question, but on the windows 2000 server edition, pop in your cd and install their DNS server if you want. It can be good for light loads, but don't expect nothing glorius.

Look into Simple DNS Plus. I used it for about 2 years on Win2k, and with the more recent version allowing HTTP access for changes, scripts can be written to add/edit/delete zones and individual records. It's well worth whatever the price is for it. =)
