Ok, so I'll try and explain this as best I can.

I obtained a directory database from a now defunct company. When I load the database onto my computer and load the program, I can search the directory, but search results yield a maximum of 1000 results.

In the folder that contains the program, there is the .exe file, .dat file and sometimes a .txt file, but not in all. (I have six directory databases)

Is there a way, if at all, to extract the database library in its entirety? I tried a text editor, which in one instance showed my most of the library, but in it it contained a lot of unreadable characters which ended up as boxes.

Any help on this would be great. If this belongs in another forum, please direct me. :)
