I made my first website with Expage (www.expage.com i believe) and now I'm opening a software 'company' (if its even worthy of being called a company ;)) called Nurvesoft. Annnddd, I'm a global moderator over at WebmasterForum (http://webmasterforum.com). (My username there is Chroder :))

I also do a little bit of everything (so I won't start listing it here :) ). I live in Minnesota and have been designing webpages and graphics for about 8 years.
I plan on making the HS community a regular pitstop.

Hmm... I'm quite a boring person, but my family doesnt think so, but they dont count. :p Anyways, PHP is my first experience with programming and it is my first language. My first PHP script is a Random Child Generator for my RPG. You can demo it here (http://www.2thextreme.org/Utilities/ChildGen). Caution: That script is brutal...
If you want to know more about be, click the "Profile" button, but I'm quite a boring person. ;)

Thanks...
The script gets the names from a file that has an array of names. There is one file for boy names and a file for girl names, and total there are approx 13,000 names (7,000 girl names and 6,000 boy names).
The script does an array_rand() and returns a name for each child that survives. I'm sure the script is resource intensive for it's size, but I wrote it when I didnt know how to work with databases. The script is actually quite simple. I can post the main code if you're interested in how it works.

No.. The script isnt that sophisticated. It just chooses a random name from the files. I have plans to rewrite the script where it will actually choose names based on the civilization of each parent along with some random information about the children.
I have attached the main file. Perhaps this should be a separate thread...

Hehehe... It was my first ever script, and I was glad when it just ran. I have a buttload of features planned for a future update of the thing which will include a bunch more features. Unfortunately though, this particular script isnt on the top priority list for me since the script was designed for me to "roll" children for my game.
If you want the whole thing let me know and I'll post the whole thing.
Edit:
Arghhhh... I see you edited your post while I was typing mine. :p
I had to keep the code clean otherwise I'd get lost in it, and really FUBAR on it. My code looks more confusing now. :o :D
