Hi,

Tools-Soft has manipulated all their rankings (with a ridulous 19000+ votes for example) for all their java listings, plus they are selling stolen software that they have simply taken from other people (INCLUDING MYSELF). All they did is decompile the java applets, take out copyright information, then put their own in.

I.e.,

Just noticed, he also has a number of listings at 5.00 with *thousands* of votes, meaning, out of all those votes, not one vote has been a 4/5 or less??

I.e.,
http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/35534.html
Has a rating of 5.00, with 7926 votes. And out of those ridiculous spammed 8,000+ votes, every single one has been a 5.00? And although he's at 8,000 "votes", he's only had 2,000 downloads???

And -- lol! -- supposedly this item was added June 10, 2004 -- meaning that in the last *THREE* months, he's had an average of 2,500 *VOTES* per month!!!

Another example, with a rating of 5.00 and 6895 'votes':
http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/35957.html
Date added: June 22, 2004. TOTAL number of hits: **434** -- YET almost ***7000*** votes!!!!!

Not only does this guy illegally sell *STOLEN* software and list it on hotscripts, but he is also blatantly abusing the ratings system.

We will initiate an investigation into this listing. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi,

No offense, but what is to be investigated?

They are conducting fraudulent activities, both by selling other people's software, and also by manipulating the rankings so blatantly. I did a search on them, and apparently they have been getting away with this for a while.

You didn't hesitate to remove listings from another post I just read, does hotscripts endorse these kinds of illegal activities? Their listings should be removed.

I actually have nothing to do with the process. Also, we don't simply act on one person's report either. That wouldn't be fair to the lister. Would you want us to remove your listing based off a single person's report without us following up further.

Hi,

Why is this thief still active? I am not the only one who has been affected. If you do a search on your forums, you'll find other people have complained about him, even from a year ago!

And reading these other posts, other listings have been removed upon a single persons post. Check out the 'top rated' and you'll see -- just take a quick look at their listings. It is absurd that tools-soft is still listed and destroying the experience for other users. Hotscripts does help people make sales based on the traffic, but not when poeple like this totally abuse the system, and then hotscripts lets them get away with it.
