View Full Version : Trillian beta 2
Just in case some of you that purchased trillian didnt know, beta 2 is out.
And in case you didnt know what Trillian is, its the best messenger that has MSN, ICQ, AIM, YIM, and IRC all in one, so you dont have to run muiltple messengers at once.
And the skins and plugins for it are very cool! :D
It was worth the money for me

Thanks for posting this. I've been looking forward to seeing 2.0 for a while now. :)
I got it installed, but i hardly can tell the difference. All though i can login to MSN now with a account that stoped working about a week ago :D

Can you cut and paste with the beta? If not, I would have to seriously debate the 'best out there quote,' with you. : )
With the current version of Trillian you can't copy and paste from the message window.
ya you can. You just have to select it and press CTRL-C
In the current version of Trillian the text won't highlight like it would, say on this forum.
you just have to click and hold, then select the text and press CTRL-C
Correct, but it should not be that way. That's much harder to do.
I totally agree with you Ryan. That's the big gripe I had with Trillian, and the reason I decided to not use it. The way the current version requires you to "cut and paste" is completely retarded. When you make software for the masses you don't change the way you do basic things like "cut and paste". Pretty stupid on their part.
Another thing I didn't like was that the Trillian contact list doesn't syncronize with all the chat program databases. I didn't like that if I changed something or deleted someone from Trilian that it didn't delete it from the central databases. I can't remember completely, but I think some did. I might be wrong. But I would like for them all to do it.

I dont remember it being fixed in v1 because the short time i used it i added afew people and it did not update the MSN Database on the server. But i know it does import your buddies from the servers..
Anyway v2 looks nice.. may look into purchasing it in the near future.

I use Trillian Pro v1.0c and I noticed I delete a contact in Trillian and it doesn't delete them from the database.
