Personally I don't like dark colours. Also the text on your navigation is quite small.

Interesting background concept. ;)

Like DA said, the navigation text is a little on the small side, and with some parts of the background, the text can be a little difficult to read.

Also, another thing that seems not to match the site is the large header. I think the header is too big, and it just doesnt go well with your site's look.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Let's see:

The banner needs work and the colors aren't working (black and white with a little gray) for some reason.

I'd form more of a real layout, rather than a portal layout. ;)
