Why do I now have to register just to update a damn listing ?
I tried registering with the address I used when I first listed here, but it tells me the address is allready taken !!!

The more I see of this new layout, the less I am liking !!

Calm down.. the new layout is still in beta. I'm sure it will be fixed soon :)

The reason you have to be registered is quite simple. Under the old system, people could go to the modify listing page and enter any script ID they wanted and submit modifications to it. How are we, as admins, to know whether it was really YOU who submitted modifications to your link? Hugh security issue.

Additionally, some sites out there (our "competitors") figured that trick out and were able to get details on all of our listings, email addresses of our submitters, and import it into their own databases to show on their sites. Then, some even had the nerve to spam our users promoting their own site.

Make sense now? Hope so. The log in will not go away. It is there to help keep the integrity of YOUR submissions, so I think you should become friends with it. :)

Why not use the "Forgot your Password Link" and have your password sent to you.

A username was created for all links -- it used your e-mail address as your username and randomly generated you a password.
