Silliest code ever?

i found a guy who used a do loop to see if a date was a week old

haha. That's a classic. Did you tell him/her about it, or just pretend you didn't see anything wrong? :)

Told him it was bad coding and to use datediff function but nooooooo it worked already so why change the code?????

I know someone that's trying to program a game in PHP, he's giving each person in the game their own table "Username_Options"

And ontop of that, on his map, he has a cron job running every 5 minutes which goes through every persons map and loops through every square on the map to see if anything needs to be done...

Needless to say he ended up using a constant 35% of the servers processor with only 100 players ( most of them weren't even playing )
